Donate Now to Support the 2008 Fall/Winter Fundraiser This holiday season, Atheists United will be reaching out to nonbelievers who have not yet connected with a community who shares their values and understands their doubts. Our 2008 Fall/ Winter Fundraising Drive will support a media campaign designed to reach these people. Celebrating the change in seasons is an ancient universal human practice, driven by the need to face the coming days of winter by reinforcing the bonds of family and community. It can be a particularly isolating time for non-theists who will likely spend the holidays alone or with those who emphasize religiosity over the rich past of human cultural traditions. We will sponsor a radio outreach campaign this season to connect with atheists to let them know they are not alone and to invite them to find our website and our community. The campaign will run the last six weeks of the year on radio stations that appeal to educated thinkers prone to questioning the status quo and seeking intellectual challenge. While we believe this campaign provides a high potential return, this is a new and risky project that will require community support to happen.
