Atheist Street Pirate Party Makes National News

On April 23, 2023, the Atheist Street Pirates (a program of Atheists United) hosted an Art Exhibit & Party near Downtown LA to highlight over 150 illegal religious signs they’ve removed from public land over the past two years. The event drew almost 100 guests and raised over $1,500 for Atheists United programs.

In the audience was reporter Alejandra Molina from Religion News Service, the first reporter to ever cover the Atheist Street Pirate program about a year ago. She interviewed multiple guests and published a new piece titled, “LA’s Atheist Street Pirates go national in efforts to remove illegal religious signs” to highlight how much the program has grown.
