The Watershed: Music, Science, and Storytelling w/ Shelley Segal

Join us for a night of music, science, and storytelling at the iconic Heretic House in Echo Park!

"The Watershed" is a conservation themed musical program developed by singer-songwriter Shelley Segal (An Atheist Album) and science communicator Dan Lombardo that combines music and spoken word to bring the stories of the animals that live in the Puget Sound Watershed to the pacific coastal communities who are supported by them. The program will teach audiences about the different species, their relationships to each other, their triumphs through systems restoration and the threats that they face from issues like pollution and climate change. The program is designed to connect people from impacted communities with local organizations and inspire them to take action in the environmental fight.

This show will be the first pilot of the program - we invite you to join us for the first ever performance of these songs and incredible stories.

Preview a song here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXWo76pPYp4

Because this is a pilot program, participants will be asked to give feedback data on how to improve future events.

Suggested donation of $5. Free street parking.

We have no song list, so we'll take suggestions on the evening, and you are welcome to bring snacks and drinks. This is an evening of simply getting together with friendly people and enjoying a little music creation together.

Our event will take place at Heretic House, one of Angelino Heights unforgettable victorian mansions. Free street parking available. Must be vaccinated to attend.
