California Interfaith Power & Light (CIPL), founded in 2000, is a statewide network of over 750 congregations of all faiths and none which responds to the environmental crisis as a moral issue.

Atheists United—the currently the only non-religious congregation in the network—participates because among non-religious Americans ~90% say the Earth is getting warmer because of human activity. (Pew Research).

We participate in legislative strategy meetings and notify our advocacy network and email list about grassroots actions when they arise.
