GET FREE TICKET

Atheists United is thrilled to host humanist scholar, Adam Chalom, for a presentation on one of the most interesting linguistic and cultural topics of our time...

What is the balance between a secular lifestyle and spiritual or emotional fulfillment? Is “spirituality” a concept inappropriate for Humanists, or a basic human need that we can meet too?

Adam Chalom is a leading voice in the movement of Humanistic Judaism. He is the rabbi of Kol Hadash Humanistic Congregation in suburban Chicago and Dean of the International Institute for Secular Humanistic Judaism. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the Association of Humanistic Rabbis and is on the editorial board of the quarterly magazine Humanistic Judaism. Chalom holds degrees from Yale University and the University of Michigan, where he received his PhD in Near Eastern Studies. Most recently, he co-edited Contemporary Humanistic Judaism: Beliefs, Values, Practices (University of Nebraska Press/Jewish Publication Society, 2025; 40% discount available through link).
