2020 Board of Directors Election
Dear Member,
Today we're announcing the 2020 elections for the Board of Directors.
Atheists United is growing faster than ever and this is an incredible opportunity to pick the leaders of our governing board.
The process is a little different this year because we cannot meet in person -- so we're going to hold the elections remotely!
NOMINATIONS
Our election will officially begin on September 27th at our virtual Members Meeting starting at 12:30pm immediately following our speaker presentation.
At this meeting the Nominations Committee of the Board will present its slate of candidates for nomination and open the floor to members for further nominations.
If you are an active member of Atheists United you may also submit nominations in advance of the meeting by emailing christine.jones@atheistsunited.org. All nominations for the board must receive a "second" from another active member to qualify for our ballot. Members can nominate themselves.
ELIGIBILITY
Nominees should be people with a personal commitment to Atheists United’s mission and a desire to actively guide our organization.
Also, they must be members for at least 3 months prior to the start of the election meeting (September 27th, 2020).
BALLOTS
Physical and digital ballots will be mailed to all active members in early October.
If you'd like to nominate and vote for a member not on the ballot for the board after the close of our nominations meeting on September 27th, 2020 you may write them in. Write-ins must receive at least two votes to qualify for the election.
All ballots must be completed and submitted no later than October 25th, 2020 at 11:00am to qualify.

Election results will be announced at the October 25th, 2020 virtual Members Meeting.
