Atheists United helps launch new Congressional Fellowship Program
We just helped make a major investment in our nation’s secular future possible.
Atheists United proudly served as the fiscal sponsor for $120,000 in startup funding for the Free Thought Fellowship Foundation—a new nonprofit launching the first secular community congressional fellowship in American history.
This fellowship will directly support some of the country’s biggest secular superstars in Washington DC serving on the Congressional Freethought Caucus.
A caucus is a group of lawmakers who coordinate to push policies and share resources in Congress. The Freethought Caucus is the only such group in Congress designed to support reason-based policy and to support the rights of nontheists.
The Fellowship provides prospective staffers with full-time salary for 12 months. (Applications are now open).
The Foundation equips rising public servants and professionals with skills, network, and experience to advance effective public policy, strengthen democracy, and resist religious nationalism.
