We just wrapped our big Halloween party and fundraiser (full photo gallery here), collecting enough to provide about 1,000 weeks worth of nutritious meals for free through our volunteer food distribution!
We also filled two sedans with like-new clothes and accessories for LA Trans Wellness Center. That’s at least 200 items at an estimated minimum value of $1,000—which the center gives away for free!

That’s not counting over 1,000 new “satanic” shirts donated to us, which we’ll also distribute for free.
The shirts, which feature devil-themed imagery, come from a local non-profit that gives out food and clothing in Los Angeles. They received them from a clothing company, but found them difficult to give away in the neighborhood they serve, which is predominantly Catholic. They called us coincidentally the same week as our big clothing drive at the party.

Saturday Oct. 31st – Halloween candy and flyer hand-out at Heretic House – introducing our atheist community to over 3,000 trick-or-treaters! 8 volunteers wanted, we’ll buy dinner for anyone who helps out.
Sunday Nov. 1st – Telescope Night at Mt. Wilson Observatory – a docent-led tour and look through the lenses used by the greats of astronomy, with proceeds funding our Secular Youth Group in 2027.
November 11th-17th – Death Valley Atheist Adventure – hiking, camping, and a science talk under the stars in one of the most stunning parks in the U.S.! Come for part or all of the whole adventure. An affordable nature experience for everyone. As featured in the LA Times.
We also have tons of weekly and monthly events on our calendar, including support groups, our Secular Youth Group Fridays, a Saturday Sing-Along Nov. 14th, and our volunteer free food distribution Nov. 20th.
