Saving AU’s food program

For the first time, a new survey revealed that Americans are rapidly losing trust in religious charities—especially young people.

We think it’s no coincidence that young people made our charitable food distribution Atheists United’s most popular program in 2023.

In fact, our food distribution recruited more new volunteers and members than any other program this year!

This is the big takeaway from our last few years building atheist communities: young atheists find us because they’re looking for ways to be of service. Then, they stick around to build the community.

Sadly, this program is in jeopardy of dying in 2024 and needs emergency support to continue at its current size.

A national organization promised us $3,600 in grant funding for 2024. Then, just weeks ago, they suddenly shut down and terminated all grants. We now need emergency funding to keep our food distributions open in 2024 and beyond.

Can you help raise $2,400 for Atheists United’s food distribution before December 31st?

Funds raised will go exclusively to program expenses like U-Haul rentals, safety vests, signage, pet food, shade structures, tables, and volunteer safety equipment. Anything raised beyond what the program needs for the year will be put into grant writing so we can look for new long-term funding options.

We helped over 1,700 families in 2024. With your help, we can maybe even grow the program in 2024.

The warmest regards to you and your loved ones this solstice.

Your support makes a significant difference, and we're grateful for every contribution that helps Atheists United make a positive impact in our communities.
