If you have trouble reading the keypad at the bottom of the stairs because it’s dark, there is a little tap light on the wall next to it
PARKING LOT GATES
HOW TO KEEP OPEN THE ENTRANCE GATE
Use your clicker to fully open the entrance gate
While the gate is open, flip the switch inside the green gear box next to the entrance gate (there is a small door flap on the right side of the green gear box that has the switch behind it)
Once the switch is flipped, the gate will stay locked in that position
HOW TO CLOSE THE ENTRANCE GATE
Flip the switch inside the entrance gate gear box back to its original position (the gate will not automatically shut once you slip the switch)
Click the button on your gate clicker (this resets the automatic gate)
After a few seconds, the gate will close automatically
If the gate doesn’t automatically close after a few minutes, reach into the gear box and unplug and plug-back-in the gear box power cord to reset the gate (then wait a few minutes)
HOW TO KEEP OPEN THE EXIT GATE
Find the gate’s gear box and open the small door flap on its side (you’ll see a switch and a power outlet inside)
Unplug the cord from the power outlet, then plug it back in (this should automatically open the gate)
Once the gate is fully open, flip the switch to lock the gate in the open position
HOW TO CLOSE THE EXIT GATE
Flip the switch inside the exit gate gear box back to its original position (the gate will automatically shut after a minute)
If the gate does not shut automatically, pull a car up to the gate to trigger the automatic sensor in the asphalt, then remove the car from the sensor (the gate shout automatically shut after a minute)
WHAT TO DO IF THE GATE(S) WON’T CLOSE
Don’t panic. Call or text Alice at 323-620-2677 and other leaders affiliated with your organization.
