  • Every Wednesday night we meetup in the Carl Sagan & Ann Druyan theater and play games, host workshops, watch movies, plan adventures, and explore the universe one question at a time.

  • Any youth ages 13-18 are welcome to attend.

Secular Youth Group (Weekly Meeting)

Secular Youth Group is a religion-free space for secular youth

  • Our group creates a safe space for curious teens to explore ethics, science, nature, and social justice in community.

Weekly Meetings

  • Every Wednesday night we meetup in the Carl Sagan & Ann Druyan theater and play games, host workshops, watch movies, plan adventures, and explore the universe one question at a time.

  • Any youth ages 13-18 are welcome to attend.

DETAILS:

  • Each meeting combines a fun activity with a challenging discussion topic

  • All activities and discussion topics are picked by youth participants

  • Guest experts are sometimes invited to lead workshops/activities

  • RSVP by text before attending to confirm we’re meeting

  • Meetings are always free and include snacks and drinks

  • Free car and bike parking on site

Where curiosity is celebrated

At Atheists United, we understand better than anyone the importance of creating a safe, secular space for people to explore their ideas, identities, and values. Youth should be celebrated, not shamed, for asking honest questions.

According the US Secular Survey:

  • 15% lower rate of depression among youth active in a local secular community

  • More than a third of secular youth had negative experiences with family due to their nonreligious identity

  • One third of secular youth had negative experience in education due to their nonreligious identity

  • Nearly 50% of young people are religiously unaffiliated

Youth Group Scavenger Hunt — The Grove

Calling all curious high school students.

Join us for a unique team scavenger hunt at The Grove shopping mall!

We’ll meet at 2pm in front of Dylan's Candy Bar (6333 W 3rd St, Los Angeles, CA 90036)

The scavenger hunt will start sharply by 2:30pm and go till 4:00pm.

Join us for a day of history and art the Getty Villa!

Event is for high school students aged 13-18 years old only.

Youth will be given a few scavenger hunt style challenges to make sure they see the whole museum. Our group is welcoming and inclusive of all, including queer, non-binary, and trans youth.

Calling all high school students looking for a safe, secular, and welcoming community to just relax with. *We're queer and trans-affirming*

We’re kicking off 2023 with a day of bowling!

Bring $25 to cover your bowling expenses and we’ll help out with the rest.

Santa Monica Beach Clean Up

Join our community for a fun day at the beach helping keep our community clean!

You can come anytime between 12:00 PM and 3:30 PM and help save our oceans and beaches.

Romy, a local high school student, is hosting this event and will give you the necessary materials to let you hunt for trash. Her organization, 71 Percent Ocean, encourages people all around the world to make a positive impact on Earth.

For Covid-19 precautions, please wear a mask, and sanitize your hands as necessary.
