Summer Beach Party

Summer Beach Party

We’re hosting a summer beach party for atheists and their friends in Greater Los Angeles!

We'll bring the music and drinks. You bring the energy!

Every season we host a community party that brings together the largest atheist community in California. This summer come network, party, and play with us at this family-friendly celebration of all things Atheists United.

We reserved a group spot just for us near lifeguard station #5 at Will Rogers State Beach in beautiful Santa Monica. Look for the Atheists United signs and tents.

(No longer station #7 as seen in previous marketing)

Don't forget to bring everything you need to make a trip to the beach a good time: sunscreen, towel, beach chairs, beach games, snacks, etc.

We'll setup tents, chairs and a few games everyone can enjoy.

Paid parking is available right next to the beach. Bathrooms are nearby. Guests are encouraged!

We recommend everyone take a Covid test before you come and please stay home if you’re experiencing any cold, flu, or Covid symptoms, or have been around others who do.

Contact evan@atheistsunited.org with any questions.

Día de los Muertos

Día de los Muertos

A Secular Day of the Dead/Dia de los Muertos Secular event is a celebration of life. Nontheist Hispanics view the Secular Day of the Dead as a perfect way to remember the legacy of dead loved ones in a way that does not require prayer, church, or religious dogma. To nontheists, our legacies are our afterlife.

The Secular Day of the Dead event will include many redesigned Hispanic traditions and rituals that celebrate our one and only life, legacies and cultural heritage.

More and more people are abandoning their religious upbringing but still want to celebrate the beauty of their culture. This is why a Secular Day of the Dead was created. The 2020 Secular Day of the Dead will be presented as a Zoom event on Sunday, November 1, 2020 with special attention to Spanish speaking participants. The 2020 Secular Day of the Dead is co-sponsored by The Freethought Society, Hispanic American Freethinkers, American Atheists, Center for Inquiry, and the Freedom From Religion Foundation.
