Announcement: May 2nd Time Travel Party and clothing drive!
You’re invited to our first major gathering of the year on May 2nd! It’s a Time Travel Party… supporting a timely cause!
Want to cherish the past, go back to the future, or boldly go where no one has gone before? Join our annual community party in a 130-year-old Victorian mansion in Echo Park! (Costumes representing the past or future encouraged, but never required.)
Our party will include live music, food, drinks, silent auction, and a private tour of Heretic House.

It’s also a gender-inclusive clothing drive in support of the Los Angeles LGBT Center! 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈👚🩲🧣
For the first time ever, we’re giving away free admission or drinks with a donation of clothing or makeup that meets the center’sguidelines. (Alternately, you can show proof of purchase of an item from the LGBT Center’s Amazon wish list.)
Let’s leave inequality in the past
Our event is part of the American Empathy Project: a nationwide day of action showing that empathy is stronger than cruelty!
LGBTQ+ communities face higher rates of economic hardship. Trans and nonbinary people can be made to feel left out of clothing distributions (like those by religious charities) that have men’s and women’s sections. Items like binders, tucking garments, or more androgynous styles aren’t usually included in standard drives.
We want clothing inequality to be history… and celebrate a brighter future for everyone!

This event is also one of our biggest fundraisers of the year! All funds raised through sales, drink donations, and our silent auction go directly to helping Atheists United host our food distributions, support groups, advocacy campaigns, and over 200 regional meetups a year!
