Photos: Science Saturay at Mt. Wilson Observatory

Members of our community just enjoyed a private docent-led tour of Mount Wilson Observatory!

The event was part of our Science Sunday field trip series, where attendees enjoy discounts and expert tours at major science attractions not available to the general public.

At the observatory, we heard a talk on the history of the institution, walked the expansive grounds, and visited the cool science gear… including the major telescopes, with close-up looks at the instruments with descriptions of their operation!

It takes about 22 work hours for our staff to organize and market these events. Donations to Atheists United cover that, and make these trips affordable for all!
